Late in 2014 I visited the offices of a VC in Palo Alto, for a gathering of Product people from different "consumer facing" companies.
Being a multi-geographies VC, it had in it's meeting rooms clocks showing different time zones.
Good idea.
My question - who designed these clocks? While it was really easy to get a reading on the time, it was problematic figuring out the AM/PM - firstly, it was hard to read the PM - and worse, the actual AM/PM indicator (the small red arrow) was a small red arrow - quite hard to notice in the overall setting... Many other different colors would have worked soooo much better...
So it was funny, being on a Product-oriented day, and seeing such a product.
What Were They Thinking?
